Kensington Walks & My Old Dutch

Sometimes, laid back days are just the best (mainly because they're very rare). The ones where the biggest decision is deciding where to eat and which streets to wander around. Last week me and my boyfriend did just that and took to Kensington Gardens for a walk in the crisp autumn weather, where there was definitely not a shortage of crunchy leaves - I'm not the only one excited about that right?

Autumn in London is just my favourite season, and you only have to look at just how colourful everything becomes to see why. Not only that but you can pretty much throw anything on plus a coat and you're good to go, without worrying too much about being too hot like in summer or too cold (just yet).

I decided on an all High Street look, and kept it super comfy and casual. A black coat is a must because it goes with absolutely everything, though in my case that's usually just more black. This one is Topshop last season, but you can find a similar one right here. Green Jumper - H&M. Kiss-Lock Bag - Forever 21 and rings are a mix of vintage and a selection from this New Look pack.

After a wander around, we started to get peckish and walked along the high street to My Old Dutch, which thanks to Em is firmly my new obsession. I mean what's better than pancakes with possibly anything you could ever want on them? I usually go to the Holborn one but the Kensington one was just as great and had a smaller, more intimate atmosphere about it.

My boyfriend had never tried them before so I set my sights on making him like it just as much as I do, and I think I succeeded. We couldn't decide on sweet or savoury so we just got both and shared (putting any 'Joey doesn't share food' emotions aside) and oh my goodness they were incredible. If you haven't tried this place then seriously go and give it a go! I can't believe I never had before a few months ago - such a game changer when you just fancy something a bit more fun.

Ankle Boots - H&M. Ripped Knee Jeans - Primark, though I do love the Topshop Leigh jeans too!

We then did our best to walk off the pancakes on the high street and had a browse through some shops - It's pretty great that he enjoys shopping just as much as I do, aka no boyfriend chair needed here (as long as we don't spend all the time in the Women's section, of course).

Let me know if you've visited My Old Dutch before, and do recommend me some more places to eat below - we all know it's pretty much all I do. Have a great weekend and speak to you soon!

Barcelona Blue

So we've arrived at the last Barcelona post and I have to say I've enjoyed making them so much. Each one has made me miss it more and I feel lucky to have been able to create so many happy memories there.
On the last full day we wanted nothing more than to be able to stay a little longer, so we tried to revisit some of our favourite spots, starting with going to Milk one last time and indulging in those amazing pancakes again. We then had a final few hours on the beach and some more wandering around the city.
On the last night I wore a blue maxi dress, which I've actually owned for a little while (it was an asos dress but it's no longer on the website! boo), but had never really taken it out to wear. It's one of my absolute favourite colours to wear so I very much enjoyed wandering around in it.
Yacht goals or what?
For dinner we headed into Gourmet Tapas, which had a really lovely menu for meat and seafood lovers, as well as lots of vegetarian options too. So many delicious little dishes and I had trouble picking!
We then headed out for a final stroll before heading back to our hotel, packing our suitcases with a few frowns on our faces knowing we had to be up early to head to the airport.
If you haven't been to Barcelona then i seriously recommend it, I had the most incredible time and I cannot wait to go back there again sometime. Depending on whether or not this post has been published on time, I am likely in Greece at the moment (hopefully getting some sort of tan), but I'll be back with more posts very soon!

Black Maxi and Sunset Walks

Another day in Barcelona and another bunch of photo's to show you guys. We started the day off by heading into the cutest little bakery (which I'm now sad i don't remember the name of as I lost the business card) but it was on a little street leading off Via Laietana.
As soon as we walked in, the smell of fresh bread took over and I immediately became about 10x hungrier than I had been. It was one of those mornings where I couldn't decide whether I wanted a sweet or savoury breakfast so obviously I just had both, in the form of a parma ham and goats cheese sandwich and then a Xuixo to follow. It looks somewhat like a croissant but this pastry is topped with crystalised sugar and filled with a rich cream - it is as good as it sounds, if not better.
After breakfast we headed to La Boqueria Market, which was possibly the most colourful place I've ever laid my eyes on. Everywhere you turned there would be endless types of fruits, novelty sweets, snacks and not to mention all the amazing juices on offer. If I hadn't been so full from the breakfast then some serious damage would have been done here! How beautiful are the tiny flowers below?!
We spent another few hours walking around and taking in the sights before heading into the Hard Rock Cafe. I had the most insane burger, which I couldn't quite finish because I opted for more than I could handle as a starter (rookie mistake). We then slow walked it off and eventually ended back at the hotel for a nap in good old spanish tradition.
I then picked out my outfit for the evening and we headed out for a walk through the streets and towards the beach before dinner (the more I type, the more I come to accept that all I did was eat). I chose this super pretty Black Maxi dress from H&M, which had lace detailing along the top, and is sheer from the knee down.
Dinner at La Gavina was incredible, it was opposite Port Vell so the views were awesome and if you go there, I highly recommend the monkfish. We finished the evening off by watching the sun go down and the moon made for the prettiest views by the water.

Hope you guys have had a lovely week so far and have enjoyed this post!
There's one more Barcelona post coming up to finish off the series so follow me right here on Bloglovin' so you don't miss it. I'm currently on holiday again (probably in Vienna by the time this one goes up) so you can keep up with my antics on my Instagram!
Speak to you soon...

Weekend in Paris

I've been meaning to publish this post for a while, but after I returned from Paris I was faced with the reality that was being a uni student, and plenty of essays, exams and sleepless nights took over. Anyway, now I'm finally done and can breathe a sigh of relief, as well as get back to blogging normally because I've seriously missed it!

Last month I surprised my sister with a weekend away in Paris and it was amazing - the sun was shining the entire time which we were so grateful for as we made our way around the city, indulged in far too many pastries and enjoyed dining al fresco which is definitely a rarity to do comfortably here in London. It was really lovely spending it with my sister because being away from home 10 months a year means we don't get much time together at all, so it was amazing to create some new memories there. Despite my fear of heights she even persuaded me to go right to the top of the Eiffel Tower which I'm now so glad I did because the view was just incredible. Of course I took my camera with me and so I've chosen a bunch of the photos to show you guys, making this one quite photo heavy!

I hope you liked this post, I always enjoy having a sneak peek into people's travels.
Have a great bank holiday weekend and speak to you soon!
