As we move from summer to autumn fashion, our wardrobes can go through quite a few changes to keep up with new trends and this year I feel like it's more relevant than ever as in London we've been lucky enough to actually dress for summer and ditch the umbrella for longer than a few days - I really can't remember the last time that happened!
Moving towards autumn, Dorothy Perkins are back with their Style Heroes A/W16 campaign, consisting of 10 key pieces upon which you can build pretty much all the outfits you could need in the seasonal transition, from statement dresses to skinny jeans and trainers. I was invited to take part with one of my own style hero pieces and went with the statement dress category because although they look the most 'done up', they honestly make for such an easy outfit as you can throw it on with a few accessories or great shoes and the look is done (and I could have picked the jeans category but let's be honest we all know I pretty much live in them anyway).
I went for a Floral Print Shift Dress, which I felt had all the autumnal vibes - the long sleeves, the darker base colour and the deep pink and green details running throughout. No matter which colours or styles you're into, I feel like everyone needs a statement dress (or 10) in their wardrobe!
I paired the dress with what are possibly the most comfortable heeled sandals I have ever owned, which you can find right here, and you can pick them up in a few different colours too. I think they're perfect for when it's not cold enough for boots yet and they will go with anything from dresses like this to a simple pair of jeans.
