New Skincare Must-Haves | Antipodes

Hey, hope you're all doing well! Today's post is all about Antipodes and some new skincare products that I've been absolutely loving.

I had a few friends recommend these to me, and as you can see I've only included two products in todays post, mainly due to the fact I've firmly learned my lesson not to try too many products at the same time because if you react to anything, you'll have absolutely no idea which one caused it (nightmare I do not wish to repeat). Luckily neither of these irritated my skin so I've been able to actually use them without any worries!
First up is a moisturiser in the form of Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream. This stuff is so rich and creamy but when you put it on your skin it sinks in straight away and leaves literally no shine or residue on me - I would quite like to know how they've managed to pull that one out of the bag! Usually the creams which are moisturising enough lead to the lovely greasy look which only leads to an inevitably rubbish makeup application as well. It does have a scent to it... Vanilla yes, but there's something else that I can't put my finger on, either way I don't mind the scent at all because it hasn't irritated my skin so it's fine with me.
The only thing I would add is that you should probably use a cotton tip to take the moisturiser out as dipping your fingers in might lead to bacteria getting in etc etc (I really do wish it was in a tube of some sort just for hygiene reasons), but that method has been going well for me so far.

Secondly, and probably my favourite of the two is the Juliet Skin Brightening Gel Cleanser. This is such a beautiful product, and so refreshing for me as I have gotten so used to using balms and oils. I use this both for first cleanse as a makeup remover, and then as a second cleanse just to make sure I've got everything, and it leaves my skin feeling so clean - but not in a horrible tight way that has stripped your skin of everything it ever had. It goes from a gel-liquid texture to something a bit more foamy, but only subtly, and removes makeup with ease - even better than the balms and oils I've used previously when it comes to my eye makeup too.

I have also noticed that my pores are so much smaller now that I'm using this cleanser, and since I've cut out the other cleansers it seems that my skin is so much brighter and just has more life to it compared to when I was using balms/oils.

I'm not saying I won't use balms or oils again, but for now, this stuff is an absolute dream and I will definitely be repurchasing because I use about half as much product as I did before and achieve even better results. So even though it is pricier than a lot of drugstore cleansers, the fact it lasts me longer makes it work out the same really.

Have you guys tried anything from Antipodes? If so, give me your recommendations for what else I need to try. Have a lovely week and speak to you soon!
