Festive Home Decor Inspiration

When it comes to the festive season, my family is always big on decorating the whole house and making it look the perfect amount of christmassy without going overboard and making it look like Father Christmas himself threw up all over it. I think the best way to do it is by keeping the actual furnishings in the house quite neutral, using tones like cream and gold that will complement whatever christmas decor you then plan on decorating with. It lets you create the perfect balance and in this post I've included some decor inspiration that I've been loving to suit everyone's budgets from Next, The Yorkshire Linen Co and The White Company.

Next is a place that always springs to mind when it comes to home decor. I can spend ages in-store wandering around their home-ware department and can always trust that the quality will be great. From festive bedding to fluffy cushions and beautiful faux bouquets, you can find pretty much anything you need to get a theme running in your home. Budget wise, it can range from quite expensive to some really affordable pieces, you just have to keep an eye out! Which of these picks is your favourite?

This is a brand that's pretty new to me but I couldn't be more glad that I've discovered it because it's perfect if you like to change up your decor quite often and are after super affordable finds. Other than the pretty throws and soft furnishings, what I like the most is Yorkshire Linen's collection of cushion covers - I feel like they're an item that can make any room go from looking bland to super cosy by adding some texture and these picks are some of the prettiest and most affordable that I've seen for a long while. I've decided I need the plaid button-up cushion in my life (and probably in the grey too).

The White Company is probably the best brand out of the bunch for anyone after white, light and airy rooms - if that's your theme in your home then you'll soon fall in love with pretty much everything they sell. From great bedding to pretty tableware, to twinkling fairy lights and incredibly scented candles (their winter candles are a dream!), you can't go wrong. I mean, even their socks are great. The only downside is that although there are some great affordable finds, most of the products are pretty pricey - but I guess the lead up to Christmas is probably one of the best excuses you'll get all year to splash out on your home!

Let me know what your favourites are from these picks, and where your favourite places are to shop for home-ware - I'd love to discover some new ones!
Hope you're having a lovely week so far, speak soon -
