Winter Essentials with Boohoo

Heading out in London last week to meet Jordan (who also took these photos!) and Lauren for a spot of lunch, it was the first time this year that it felt much more like winter than autumn. I decided to wrap up in some winter essentials and reached for some of the warmest things I own (without ending up looking like a giant marshmallow) and it quickly made me realise that jumpers are definitely my winter staple.
They're pretty essential in winter and the best part is that you don't have to spend a fortune to gather a great collection that you can mix and match and create different outfits with by adding a few accessories and pretty shoes - not difficult for me considering I've developed an unhealthy obsession with new boots... great for me, bad for my purse. I'm the kind of person that can buy a lot of clothes and still feel like I never know what to wear so I usually end up going for what I feel most comfortable in, and versatile casual pieces like this make things a lot easier!
I raided the Boohoo winter wardrobe because they always have great pieces to stock your wardrobe up with every season, and this cosy grey number has quickly become my new favourite. I've worn it countless times already and it looks great tucked into a skirt or just with jeans as I paired it up with here.  The fact it's a deep V-neck is pretty great too because most of the jumpers on the market these days are turtle-necks and although I do love them, everyone and their cat knows I own too many of them already. It's not chunky so it's great for layering other colours underneath and the back is slightly longer than the front which adds to the detail and makes it a little different. Basically, I want it in all the colours.

Combined with a few accessories, and a pair of statement shoes and that's all the outfit really needs on cold days like these. Left hand - New Look. Right hand rings are vintage. Boots are from Public Desire and are probably the sassiest boots I've ever owned, and yes they are much more comfortable than they look.

That wind sums up London at the moment.
...and though it might be freezing, the city sure knows how to look super cute - especially in the lead up to Christmas!

Coat - Topshop (similar here)
Scarf - Stroppy Cat
