Lifestyle | Hopes for 2015

I prefer the term hopes rather than resolutions because resolutions seem to be associated with things that people want to just change as soon as the new year begins and most of the time things don't quite work out like that (as nice as that would be!). When it comes to hopes, they're things that are pretty much always with me, some are things that I've noticed in the past year, others are things that I've been wanting to improve on gradually for years and they're very much still with me. I'm grateful for the past year and of course everything that happens is relative to each of us, no-one's life is always good and we deal with the bad things in our own way, but sometimes seeing what can happen in the world reminds me of how lucky I am for everything in my life. Things may get mushy up in here, but I know you love it.

- The first one is something that I wrote about on here in one of my chatty posts, and that's to live in the moment more. Actually experience and take in everything around you. I know for sure that my best memories don't involve being distracted by my phone in hand. I hope to travel quite a bit this year and go on new adventures and make amazing new memories. Read my full post on living in the moment here.

- This next one might sound a bit weird but it's something that has pretty much always been present, and that's the fact that I feel guilty letting go of people. I'm not referring to me going around and randomly being harsh to someone, rather people that don't put in effort anymore and don't deserve my effort in return, yet I can't just cut them out because I always 'feel bad'; I'm so annoying. Over time I've realised that if someone doesn't deserve your friendship then there's no reason to feel guilty/too harsh or continue to waste your time when you could be spending it with people that actually go out of their way to make you happy.

- I'm so happy with how my blog has grown over the past year and the fact that across all platforms there are over 5000 of you following what I get up to, which I find crazy but I can't thank you all enough and I'm so grateful for your support! I'm so excited to continue to grow it and take you on the journey with me, I hope to work with even more amazing brands and say yes to opportunities that come my way. Starting this little blog has been one of the best things I've done and I've met so many lovely people because of it that I hope to meet up with even more this year.

- Something that excites/scares me that's happening this year is graduation. I just can't believe that in about half a year I will be done with uni, it has gone by so quickly and it has been one of the best experiences of my life, I would do it all again in a heartbeat. I am excited to come back home to London and be here all the time again, and taking the next huge step in my life won't be easy but I hope I can work it out and go on my next adventure.

- The last one is just for those around me to be happy and healthy, of course I want the extra things like travelling more, and managing to go to the gym regularly wouldn't go amiss, but those things don't mean much if me or the people around me aren't happy, so that's the thing I hope for most of all. I think when that's the case, it's a lot easier to be positive about everything else!
I hope you've enjoyed this post and I'm so excited for all the posts to come this year. Let me know if you've done a similar post as I'd love to read it. I hope it's a great year for you all!

xx
